If I don't want to administer the estate, who else can do it? |

Any interested and responsible party can function as a personal representative. If a nominated executor does not want to serve, a will frequently provides for substitute appointment.
If there is no available relative or interested party, the heirs can also appoint a private professional fiduciary. A private professional fiduciary is an individual or entity willing to function in the role in exchange for the estate compensation. A registry of private professional fiduciaries and trustees can be found through the Professional Fiduciary Association of California. www.pfac-pro.org |
